1. Are the medical providers in other countries at least as proficient as those in the United States?
Yes. In fact, many of the providers have received their education in the United States or have been professors at medical institutions in their own country. In all cases, the providers used by Medcentrek have been certified by our health care team, their country-unique certification processes. 2. Many companies providing medical tourism services do not have a medical background. Does Medcentrek have expertise in coordinating health care abroad?
Medcentrek is the most qualified organization to provide medical travel coordination. Our management team includes retired military health care administrators who have coordinated healthcare for our military service members and their families in locations throughout the world. They have lived in foreign countries and have worked with host country hospitals on just about every type of health care initiative. We are members of the Better Business Bureau and International Association for Medical Assistance to Travelers.
3. What are the hospitals like?
Many of the hospitals are amazingly beautiful and modern. In fact, many of them are affiliated with U.S. hospitals. It is hard to explain to someone in the United States that hospitals and healthcare in other countries may and many times does surpass the level of care and comfort of the hospitals in the U.S. Oh yeah, the nurse to patient ratios almost always exceed that of their U.S. counterparts.
4. How much can I save by traveling to receive my health care?

Of course. Many of the medical retreats where you will spend time recovering will provide reduced prices for your guest and we can assist in planning their time exploring the sandy beaches or rain forest while you recover. Of course, you won’t want to miss out so plan a vacation experience for you and your travel companion prior to your medical or dental procedure.
7. Can I save on dental care as well?
Absolutely. Convenient and beautiful places like Monterrey, Mexico, Guadalajara or Costa Rica draw many foreigners for major dental reconstruction. A dental vacation will give you many reasons to smile.
8. What is telemedicine and what does it mean to me?
Telemedicine is a means for your local health care provider to consult and share your X-rays and other medical history with your destination country health care provider. This combined effort works well for many of our clients.
9. How will I obtain post-procedure medical care?
Telemedicine is a great way to continue the consultation and follow-up for care received.
10. Your website lists many countries. Do the health care providers speak English?
Some of the providers were not only educated in English-speaking countries but were educated there as well. Medcentrek ensures that every health care provider speaks English.
11. What do you charge for your services?
Medcentrek does not charge our clients anything for our services. We are able to purchase health care at reduced rates from certified facilities saving you money. It helps that we also advise these hospitals, when requested, on Joint Commission International certification processes (the same organization that certifies U.S. hospitals). Yes, we are experts on most every aspect of hospital and health care management.
12. I heard that Medcentrek offers services to charities and for profit businesses – is that true?
Yes we do. We are proud to offer charities and companies our services to help them stretch their health care dollar. We also coordinate corporate health retreats.
